You are here
The wildflower area is one of the seasonally dynamic habitats in the area. In the spring, you will see some amazing native wildflowers such as Indian blanket, bluebonnets, lemon mint, partridge pea, and coreopsis that cover the prairie in spring color. In the summer and fall, several different tall and short grasses start to dominate the area and appear to dance when the wind blows. Winter provides the perfect time to look for flower seeds – they lie dormant until the warmer weather of spring!
