Scout Programs

Scout programs serving Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts are now offered at Oliver Nature Park.  Pick a program that is offered or our naturalists can work with you and create a specialized program for your group.

  • Scout Badge Programs are offered by reservation, contact us for more information. Programs are 2 hours in length.
  • Cost is $10 per scout per program.  10-guest minimum, 20 guest maximum
  • $50 non-refundable deposit will be required at time of booking to hold the program date.  The deposit is applied towards your final balance.
  • Paddling badge is $25 per person (each child must have an adult sign up for the class)  12-participant  minimum/maximum. $100 non-refundable deposit will be required at time of booking to hold the program date.  The deposit is applied towards your final balance.
  • Scout Camping Trip  has a $200 non-refundable deposit will be required at time of booking to hold the program date.  The deposit is applied towards your final balance.  
  • All scout programs are held rain or shine, with an exception to the Paddling Badge.  Please have your scouts dress for the weather.  If inclement weather occurs, our staff will contact your group the day of the program to cancel or reschedule your program.  If our staff needs to cancel for bad weather, you will receive a full refund.
  • Scout programs cover all scout badge requirements, but does not provide the scout a physical badge at the program.  Troop leaders may bring the badge to give out to the scouts after completing the class.

Scout Camping Trip

Let’s go on a weekend camping adventure! This adventure is for Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts!  Girl Scouts will earn one badge per level over the weekend. Brownie’s: Eco-Friend, Junior’s: Eco-Camper, Cadette’s: Night Owl, Senior’s: Eco-Explorer, and Ambassador’s: Eco-Advocate. We will provide a tent and campsite; as well as materials to earn each badge. You will bring; bedding, personal items, food, and utensils for cooking and eating. One adult is required to attend for every 3 scouts. Non-scouts are welcome! 

$150/ 1 adult & 3 scouts.   Admission to the park is not included and will be paid upon arrive to the park at the park gate house.   Camping trip can be at one of the following parks: Cedar Hill State Park, Cleburne State Park, Mineral Wells State Park, or Loyd Park.  4 tent rentals (1 adult & 3 scouts)  minimum/ 6  tent rentals  (1 adult & 3 scouts) maximum per camping trip.
