Choose your favorite theme and let us do the rest!  Parties at Oliver Nature Park are fun, unique, and maybe even a little educational!  Private parties can also be booked for scout troops; many themes can be modified to fill specific badge requirements, contact us for more information.

Party Policies

  • Must be scheduled at least two weeks prior to date
  • All parties have a 10-guest minimum, 20 guest maximum unless otherwise noted
  • All participating guests must be paid; parents or siblings are not charged unless they will be participating in the activity
  • All parties include a one hour program, after which guests are welcome to stay and use the picnic tables for cake/presents. Only exception is kayaking, which uses a park with no tables
  • $50 non-refundable deposit due to hold party date; will be applied to total
  • All programs are held rain or shine, with an exception of the kayaking events.  Please have your participants dress for the weather.  If inclement weather occurs, our staff will contact your group the day of the program to cancel or reschedule your program.  If our staff needs to cancel for bad weather, you will receive a full refund.

Party Themes

Little Naturalists (3-5Y)

A party version of our most popular class, enjoy a nature themed craft, book and walk or other hands-on nature exploration.  Choose a topic including bugs, forest animals, fossils, flowers and more.  $10/guest

Family Camping Trip (All ages)

Spending time outdoors is fun; it's easier than you think! Don't have the gear? We do! This is a one-night workshop (9 am Saturday - 11 am Sunday) where each family (group of up to four people) gets a campsite with nearby restrooms the use of a tent, s'more supplies, and a campfire in the evening. There will be many family activities such as hiking and fishing during the camping trip.  

You will bring: bedding, personal items food, and utensils for cooking and eating. We’ll even give you some tips on camping recipes. Pets are not allowed on this camping trip.   

$175/family (up to 4 people).  Admission to the park is not included and will be paid upon arrive to the park at the park gate house.  Camping trip can be at one of the following parks: Cedar Hill State Park, Cleburne State Park, Mineral Wells State Park, or Loyd Park.

4 families minimum/ 6 families maximum per camping trip

Upcycle Art (3Y+)

Everything old is ART again!  Create 3 fun crafts out of recycled materials.  $10/guest

Junior Geologists (3Y+)

Take a hike to learn about the rocks and fossils beneath us.  Choose whether to focus on rock and minerals or fossils and paleontology.  $10guest

Wild about Nature (3Y+)

Get a close look at animal specimens and our live Wildlife Ambassadors like reptiles, rabbits and more.  $10guest

Nature Hike (3Y+)

Take a hike with our naturalist to explore the park. Themed hikes include scavenger hunts, bug collection, bird watching and more.  $10/guest 

Intro to Archery (6Y+)

Join us for a adventure learning the basic skills of archery. All equipment provided. 10 guest min/max. $17/guest

Intro to Fishing (3-16Y)

We supply the equipment, training and bait; your little anglers show up ready to cast a line!  $10/guest

Preschool Picassos (1Y+)

Make a memory with your toddler at our Preschool Picasso class.  $17/ 1 parent & 1 child. 

Kayaking (7Y+)

Available March - October

1.5 hr long tours of the creeks along Joe Pool Lake in our dual-seated kayaks are the perfect summer adventure!  No skills or equipment needed, adult must accompany guests ages 7-17.  $25/guest
